lola prefers to have all of his clothes cleaned no more than a week before he wears them, since most of them have been in storage for a year or more (he could wear a different outfit, with no pieces in common, every day for an entire year and never run out of clothes). he does often have a few pieces that he favors for periods. every article is kept in a clear dress bag.

he often picks different pieces that he might want to wear in the upcoming week ahead of time so that they can be cleaned. he always picks more than he's ever going to actually wear so that he has plenty of options, upwards of 20 items per category -- ex, 20 shirts, 20 trousers, etc. sometimes he picks sets of pieces at random and then narrows them down, such as 5 random shirts of which he picks whichever ones he wants, and so on. he has a few other methods of picking them, but i won't get into them all.

every piece is categorized and catalogued by type and then by date. there are several binders full of photos and other information, both to simplify his process of choosing, and to keep track of everything, since any given piece will be worth far upwards of $10,000. the catalogue has been digitized, but he uses the hard copies because he doesn't know how to use a computer.
